general texting meme
To kick us off with some voice testing, here's a the meme for all those gen texts, phone calls, voicemails, pictures of your cats, and whatever else your little heart can come up with, because who doesn't like a little old fashioned friendly texting. Or enemy texting, if that's more your bag.
instructions: What it says on the tin! Leave a comment with your character, any preferences, a start, absolutely nothing, or whatever you want. Run around and reply to others. Lather, rinse, repeat.

[The address comes in next.
When Sukuna arrives, the house smells like beef stew when Matthias opens the door. He's got a fun, frilly apron on as well. His mother's, but he wears it proudly.]
I already got the kettle on, so you're just in time.
[His mother is the epitome of tiny Asian lady, especially when dwarfed by Matthias. But despite having a cold, she smiles warmly at Sukuna from the couch. She wasn't necessarily bundled up, but there was a blanket over her lap and a book resting on top.]
Suku-kun! It's so nice to see you, it's been far too long.
no subject
Super cute Flower-kun! If you didn't have your own store, I'd try to have you work for me.
[But any other comments he had died on his lips as soon as he saw Mrs. Mossflower bundled up and smiling on the sofa, his heart immediately clogging his throat.]
Mama! I'm sorry I haven't visited recently but I brought your favorite tea and a cake! How are you feeling?
[Sorry Matthias you are second in the Mossflower hiearchy.]
no subject
Not on your life, Sukicchi.
[He was more than used to this as he was suddenly forgotten about and his mom had all the attention. She was the best mom ever so Matthias simply took the cake and tea while his friend went into overdramatics that even she saw through.
He heard his mother laugh as he went to make the tea.]
Oh, I’m fine, Suku-kun! The boys have been taking good care of me and I should be all good in no time. He may not look it, but I think Matty is beside himself without that store of his.
Moooom, I told you, closing up for one day isn’t going to hurt! [There was a definite whine in that voice.]

Though Sukuna wanted to do nothing more than dote on Mrs. Mossflower like she undoubtedly deserved, it did seem like she was in high spirits and was being well taken care of. Once Matthias was out of the room, he dropped a bit of the dramatics, sitting down in a chair opposite of her, beaming. At the back and forth between mother and son, Sukuna had to laugh, craning his neck to glance back in the direction that Matthias had disappeared to, voice teasing.]
Ah, it sounds like we should introduce you to some other hobbies. It's not healthy to always need to work.
no subject
I have enough hobbies. I'm not like other cats who just lay around all day.
[Seriously, ever since becoming human, Matthias really liked learning all there was to know about being human. Well, as human as someone like him got, anyway. He set the mugs of tea on a tray along with small plates with slices of the cake that Sukuna brought.]
Besides, I have my paws full enough as it is, taking on extra hobbies really would be unhealthy.
[He was back out from the kitchen, apron off this time, and he set the tray down on the table nearby, kneeling down to hand each person their own slice of cake and tea.]

[Sukuna shot Mrs. Mossflower a quick wink to show there was no real bite to his words, dipping his head in thanks as Matthias came back out to dole out the tea and the cake. He'd brought along a light cake decorated with fruits, and nothing too overly sweet.
He picked up the cup of tea first, taking a careful sip and humming in approval. While he might not be as picky about his tea as he was his sake, he tended to have high and exacting standards for it regardless. Matthias' tea was very good indeed, and even without the apron, Sukuna would have hired him in a heart beat.]
It's about balance! And taking plenty of breaks!
[Said the man who was content to let Setsura handle most of the day to day things and had to go see the ocean every few months.]
no subject
I take breaks! And I read and take walks and stuff.
[Matthias took his seat on the floor next to his mother's legs, who immediately put a hand on his head to lightly scratch through his hair. He looked rather pleased, not touching his tea yet.]
What are your hobbies?
no subject
[Sukuna shook his head clucking his tongue slightly, biting back his smile as Matthias settled down right by his mother's legs for pets. It was adorable to still see some cat-like mannerisms in someone who was so tall and human.
He took a sip of his tea before arching his eyebrows at the question, before beaming.]
Almost too many to name! I like cooking, baking, brewing sake, sewing, planning trips, karaoke-
[Really the list went on. Gods had a lot of time on their hands, especially retired ones.]
no subject
Now that's just too much, Sukicchi.
It does seem to be an awful lot, Suku-kun, how do you keep track?
no subject
[And having a lot of assistants and people who helped him run the Hidden Moon so smoothly, but that was neither here nor there. Innocently, he nibbled on his piece of cake.]
If you think that's too much, you should hire more workers so you're not so pressed for time! And so we can spend more time with Mama!
no subject
[Came the mutter, follow by a sip of his tea.]
Even with time management, just be careful not to overdo it. And don't worry, I see my boys plenty!
[She's gonna pinch your cheek now, Suku-kun. Because she can even if she's not an old grandma yet. She also gently patted Matthias' head who grinned up at her and then finally decided to get up and sit on the couch next to her. He finally took a bite of the cake and hummed in approval.]
You always have a good eye for cake, Sukicchi.
no subject
[Sukuna shot him a shit eating grin before seemingly melting as Mrs. Mossflower pinched his cheek. He couldn't say he had ever had a good relationship with his own mother, but with Mrs. Mossflower he could see the appeal in wanting to stay or go home often.
He beamed at the praise, winking at him.]
One day we should open a shop together! Your teas and my cakes. I'm sure it would do well.
no subject
[He raised a brow with a smirk. It was a private thing between then, not even his mother knew but it was amusing nonetheless.]
Would you actually work it or leave it to the staff?
no subject
That, and other things too.
[He did pout at the insinuation that he didn't help out at the tea house, which fair, Setsura did most of the day to day duties, but he did a few things! Occasionally!]
It depends on the staff. And there's nothing wrong with delegating.
no subject
No, I suppose not. But that's why I prefer the way I have things. I don't mind doing the tasks.
[ Don't pout because you got called out, Sukuna. ]
no subject
[Sukuna sent him a small grin before, turning back to Mrs. Mossflower, nodding approvingly.]
Mama, you raised your son very well.
no subject
[ Matthias took that cue to press a kiss to her cheek and let her be on her way to her room, taking her treats with her. She was totally going to have seconds later, he knew it. He laughed softly at the thought and took another bite of the sweet treat. ]
So, did you have something you needed from me or were you really so worried at the closed sign at the store?
no subject
[Sukuna couldn't help but laugh as he watched Mrs. Mossflower leave with her cake and tea, amused that her priorities were still correct, fever or no.
Matty's question had him turning back to him, eyes mock wide in surprise.]
Eh? Isn't it normal to just be worried about a friend? Do I need any more reason than that?
